For more than three decades, Cindi Ferguson has been a champion for families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. This year, we are honored to have her and the Ferguson Family McDonald’s as the Presenting Sponsor of our 36th Annual Bandana Ball — a celebration that blends fun, community, and a whole lot of heart.
Cindi’s connection to our mission runs deep. Over the years, she’s seen the impact of the Ronald McDonald House firsthand — as a volunteer, donor, and as a grandmother to a premature baby born in a city without a Ronald McDonald House at the time. When asked what the mission means to her, Cindi fondly shared memories of her late son, who was one of RMHC CTX’s biggest supporters. His passion, love, and devotion made our House his favorite place to be. Today, when she visits, those memories add an even more personal layer to the joy she feels in serving families.
“The House is warm, well-taken care of,” Cindi says. “When you walk in, you can see a playroom, tables and chairs, and couches — it’s very unique. Then you notice a family will come in, a mom or dad… It’s like they live there. They walk over to the coffee machine, where they make coffee. You just feel like “Wow, this takes care of everybody and everything.”
Cindi’s dedication goes far beyond her own time and energy. For the past two years, the Ferguson Family McDonald’s has proudly supported Bandana Ball, helping make it one of the most beloved and impactful nights of the year.
“Bandana Ball is just fun,” she shares. “Yes, it’s a fundraiser, but there’s always great food, there’s always cocktails… people should come to Bandana Ball to see what it’s about. It’s a good night for a great cause.”
We couldn’t agree more. Bandana Ball isn’t just our largest fundraising event of the year — it’s a night where our community comes together to celebrate generosity, make memories, and ensure families have the comfort of the Ronald McDonald House when they need it most.
