Volunteer Profile: Trevor Rials

“RMHC-CTX Thrives on the Support of its Community Volunteers”

My name is Trevor Rials, and I work for Cerner Corporation as a software engineer. Back in August, I was able to spend part of my sabbatical working on a community service, professional development or business impact project. Working for a health care company, I help develop programs that health care providers use every day. I was drawn to an opportunity to do community service work with another organization in health care- Ronald McDonald House Charities. I volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas since I was working from Austin at the time. I have always been inspired by the work the RMHC CTX does to help families in need, and RMHC CTX thrives because of the support of its community volunteers. I was able to dedicate a full week with them doing everything from cleaning to restocking. It was amazing to be able to contribute to an organization that helps so many families every year.
